"And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate." - Daniel 9:27

In the context of this verse, a week equals one year.

From Omega Frequency: Episode 3 (22:30):

This describes the next major event that will occur in the prophetic timeline. A seven year peace treaty will be brokered between Israel and Palestine. Jerusalem will become a world capital for all faiths and all religions.

This will lead to the second major event in the prophetic timeline to occur. At some point in the future, the Antichrist and his ten-state Arab NATO will lend its support to strengthen and sanction the previously brokered covenant. This is the point at which the tribulation begins. This will bring a false peace, then three-and-a-half years later the Antichrist will violently invade Israel.

We read how this will occur in Zechariah 14:2, "For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city."

The half of the city controlled by Israel will fall under control of the Antichrist. When Zachariah wrote the city was to be divided in half, there was no division in Israel, and no reason to ever think there ever would be a division. When John wrote the book of Revelation there was no two state solution, there was only one Roman empire. That is how pinpoint accurate Bible prophecy is. Jesus will return one day to Jerusalem and it will be His world capital.
